There are two easy ways to move your FileZilla settings and cached QUICK CONNECT entries from one PC to another:
This first method is the official process but it does NOT migrate your QUICK CONNECTs. The second method gets everything.
1 – Use the FileZilla Interface:
- On the source (old) machine, start FileZilla
- Click FILE > EXPORT
- Select EXPORT SITE MANAGER ENTRIES, EXPORT SETTINGS and EXPORT QUEUE (or less if you do not want everything)
- Click OK and select a destination your new machine can get to (like a thumbdrive)
. - On the destination (new) machine, start FileZilla
- Click FILE > IMPORT
- Select the exported file from the source computer
2 – Just Copy The FileZilla Setting Directory:

- Make sure both machines are running the same version of Filezilla
- In practice, this is not usually required as long as the builds are close but making them the same will elliminate problems
- On the source (old) machine, make sure FileZilla is closed
- Using Windows Explorer (My Computer, Computer, This PC, File Explorer…) go to C:USERS<AccountName>AppDataRoaming
- If you do not see the APPDATA folder, you need to turn on HIDDEN FILES
- Copy the entire FILEZILLA Folder to a destination your new machine can get to (like a thumbdrive)
- On the destination (new) machine, copy that FileZilla folder to the same location C:USERS<AccountName>AppDataRoaming
